  • I worked in the lab of Dr. David L. Mulcahy doing several independent studies (as an undergraduate) and (post-graduate) as a lab manager and research associate. I maintained a full greenhouse and three growth chambers, performing experiments on Lycopersicon peruvianum (Peruvian tomato).

  • Independent study with Dr. Ed Davis on totipotency in Asplenium rhizophyllum (walking fern), preparing growth mediums and culturing cells while varying the hormone levels to initiate root or frond growth.
  • Part-time researcher in the lab of Dr. Peter Alpert maintaining and running experiments on wild strawberry plants.
